JAMSHEDPUR – Former Jharkhand minister Banna Gupta accused MLA Saryu Roy of winning the Jamshedpur West Assembly election by using edited videos to polarize voters. Speaking at a press conference at his residence, Gupta claimed the videos were part of a conspiracy to tarnish his image and manipulate the electorate.

"Knowing he could not win without such tactics, Saryu Roy used deceit to secure victory," Gupta stated. He expressed concerns that political rivalry might lead to the stalling of important public welfare initiatives. "I fear Roy could halt the Mango Flyover construction, the proposed riverfront development on Swarnrekha River, or even MGM Hospital’s functioning," Gupta added.

Despite the loss, Gupta affirmed his commitment to public service, saying, "My office will remain open for the people, and I will continue addressing their problems to the best of my ability." He also warned Roy against slowing or stopping ongoing development projects, pledging to oppose any such moves.

Expressing gratitude to the people of Jamshedpur West, Gupta announced plans to review the reasons for his loss with his team and promised to serve the community with full dedication. "I believe in positive politics and will remain focused on resolving public issues," he concluded.
