JAMSHEDPUR – Local football club reveals a symbolic new logo for its youth development initiative.
Jamshedpur FC has introduced a new logo for its upcoming grassroots football tournament.
Moreover, the logo was unveiled by head coach Khalid Jamil in a special ceremony.
The design incorporates elements celebrating Jamshedpur’s rich heritage and football culture.
"This logo represents our commitment to nurturing young talent," stated Kundan Chandra, head of youth and grassroots.
Furthermore, the logo’s central diamond symbolizes Lady Meherbai Tata’s historical contribution to the city.
Interestingly, the design also features tribal art and tiger claw elements, honoring local culture.
Meanwhile, the Jamshedpur Super League is set to kick off on October 18, 2024.
The tournament will feature 70 teams across five age categories, from U-5 to U-13.
"We’re excited to host 628 young players in 475 matches," an organizer enthused.
On the other hand, 33 teams will represent Jamshedpur FC’s Grassroots School in the league.
The remaining 37 teams will come from local academies and clubs, promoting community involvement.
In addition, the league aims to provide substantial playing time for all participants.
Players can expect between 165 and 600 minutes on the field, depending on their age group.
Notably, this makes it the longest-running AIFF Blue Cubs League in the country.
Matches will be held at JRD Tata Sports Complex and Tinplate Sports Complex, fostering local talent.
