A workshop on the Drug-Free Jharkhand campaign was held at Tangrain School, emphasizing societal responsibility.
JAMSHEDPUR – An awareness workshop under the Drug-Free Jharkhand campaign was organized at Upgraded Middle School, Tangrain.
Addressing the students, school management committee, parent committee, and local social workers, Potka Block Development Officer Abhay Kumar Dwivedi emphasized that addiction has become a social disease.
He stated that the rapid increase in drug use among youth has become a common problem.
The use of narcotics is not only a severe issue for users but also causes various problems for their families and communities.
He stressed the responsibility of creating a drug-free society, urging everyone to contribute to this cause.
Students were also educated on measures to protect themselves from lightning during the workshop.
Special Class Inaugurated
During the event, the Block Development Officer inaugurated a special class for Navodaya/Netarhat entrance exam preparation, initiated by Principal Arvind Kumar Tiwari.
The workshop saw participation from students, teachers, parent committee members, school management committee members, as well as educators like Jaihari Singh Munda and social workers including Ujjwal Kumar Mandal, Bhola Nath Sardar, Dusru Shabar, Parvati Manjhi, Dulali Bhagat, and Laxmi Karmakar.
