Towering Jharkhand Native Returns to Bolster Red Miners’ Defense

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur FC has announced the return of local goalkeeper Amrit Gope, signing him to a one-plus-two-year contract. The 6’4" shot-stopper adds depth to the club’s goalkeeping roster.

Gope, a familiar face to Jamshedpur fans, previously played for the club’s reserve team in the 2018-19 season before being promoted to the senior squad.

Career Journey

After his initial stint with Jamshedpur, Gope honed his skills at TRAU, making 16 appearances over two I-League seasons.

His performances caught the eye of Bengaluru FC, where he further developed his abilities.

Homecoming Excitement

Upon his return, Gope expressed his enthusiasm: "Representing Jharkhand in the ISL fills me with pride. I’m eager to give my all for the team and our supporters."

He added, "Working under Coach Khalid Jamil is a fantastic opportunity. His expertise will undoubtedly elevate my game."

Gope joins fellow goalkeepers Vishal Yadav, Mohit Dhami, and Ayush Jena in the Jamshedpur FC squad.
