1000 KLD Facility Expands Sonari’s Wastewater Management Capabilities
Tata Steel UISL takes a significant step towards improving urban infrastructure with the inauguration of a cutting-edge sewage pumping station in Ramnagar, Sonari.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Utility and Infrastructure Services Limited (UISL) has marked a milestone in urban development with the launch of a state-of-the-art 1000 KLD Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) in Ramnagar, Sonari.
"This facility represents our commitment to sustainable urban development and environmental stewardship," stated Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice Chairman of Tata Steel UISL, during the inauguration ceremony.
The event saw the presence of key figures including Ritu Raj Sinha, Managing Director of Tata Steel UISL, and Raghunath Pandey, President of JUSCO Shramik Union, underlining the collaborative effort behind the project.
Varun Bajaj, Chief of Town Infrastructure & Logistics, commented, "This expansion significantly enhances our capacity to manage wastewater efficiently, contributing to a cleaner, healthier urban environment."
The new pumping station, designed to handle a substantial volume of sewage, is expected to greatly improve waste management in the Sonari area. Its advanced capabilities align with Tata Steel UISL’s ongoing efforts to boost sustainability in urban infrastructure.
Sanjeev Kumar Jha, General Manager of Water and Wastewater Management at Tata Steel UISL, highlighted the technical aspects: "The 1000 KLD capacity ensures we’re well-prepared to meet the area’s growing needs."
