Company addresses safety issues in L-6 quarters and discusses potential sponsorship opportunities.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel has pledged to ensure timely maintenance and backlog correction of TRM jobs in employee quarters, following concerns raised during an online session with management.
Rituraj Sinha, MD of Tata Steel UISL, confirmed agreements with the union to initiate new TRM jobs.
"We’ll systematically review and address pending tasks," Sinha stated, responding to issues highlighted by LD 3 employee Raghunandan Paswan.
The commitment comes after directives from Tata Steel MD TV Narendran to address employee housing concerns.
WRM employee Arvind Tiwari raised safety issues regarding gaps between toilets and rooms in L-6 quarters.
Administration representative Pranay Sinha assured measures are being taken to roof over these gaps in newer quarters.
"We’re also considering similar requests for older quarters," Pranay Sinha added, addressing employee safety concerns.
The session also touched on potential company sponsorships for employee talents, with the MD suggesting further discussions with the union.
Narendran previously emphasized enhancing company performance and achieving net-zero emissions goals.
This initiative demonstrates Tata Steel’s commitment to addressing employee welfare and safety concerns.
