Odisha Governor Raghubar Das Returns to Jamshedpur

Former CM Receives Warm Welcome at Sonari Airport

Raghubar Das, ex-Jharkhand CM and current Odisha Governor, makes his first visit to Jamshedpur since BJP’s ascension in Odisha.

JAMSHEDPUR – Raghubar Das, the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and current Governor of Odisha, arrived at Sonari Airport on Wednesday, marking his first return to Jamshedpur since the BJP formed government in Odisha.

"It’s a momentous occasion for our party workers to welcome Governor Das back to his home turf," stated Kulwant Singh Bunty, BJP State Working Committee member, who greeted Das with a floral bouquet.

The airport saw a gathering of BJP supporters and district administration officials eagerly awaiting Das’s arrival. In a show of respect, local police personnel presented a guard of honor to the Governor.

"Governor Das will be staying in Jamshedpur for two days," Bunty informed. "This visit holds great significance for our local party cadre."

Das’s return to Jamshedpur, where he has deep political roots, is seen as a boost to the local BJP unit. His transition from state politics to a gubernatorial role in a neighboring state has been closely watched by political observers.

The visit is expected to include meetings with local party leaders and supporters, potentially influencing BJP’s strategies in the region.

As Das embarks on his two-day stay, the city anticipates potential announcements or discussions that could impact local political dynamics.
