The empty tractor was en route from Galudih to Ghatsila when it lost control at a highway cut-up.
Local residents worked to extricate the trapped driver, identified as 25-year-old Chhotu from Jagannathpur village.
The injured driver was initially taken to Ghatsila Sub-divisional Hospital for first aid.
Dr. Vikas Bhegda provided preliminary treatment before referring the patient to MGM Hospital, Jamshedpur.
