The body of Anadi Hansda, a 35-year-old man from Nadisai Tola Rangadih, was found hanging from a Palash tree near Gaurangkocha in Ichagarh, raising suspicions of suicide.
SERAIKELA – In a tragic incident, the body of Anadi Hansda, a 35-year-old laborer, was discovered hanging from a cloth noose on a Palash tree near Gaurangkocha in the Ichagarh police station area of Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
Ichagarh police took custody of the body and sent it to Seraikela Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
The deceased, identified as Anadi Hansda, resided in Nadisai Tola Rangadih.
He lived with his second wife at his in-laws’ house in Gaurangkocha and worked as a laborer in Gamharia.
Hansda’s mental condition was reportedly unstable at times.
He left his first wife, remarried, and lived with his second wife and their 4-year-old daughter.
According to his wife, Hansda went out for defecation on Tuesday night and did not return.
His body was found hanging from a tree the following morning.
His wife informed the Ichagarh police about his mental health issues.
Sub-Inspector Mahti Sinku stated, "Hansda left the house at night, and his body was found hanging from a tree the next morning."
The police are investigating the matter, with initial findings suggesting suicide.
The family is devastated by the loss.
