JCA Yellow Clinches Shaheed Nirmal Mahato Memorial Under-12 Cricket Tournament Title

Thrilling One-Wicket Victory Over Leo Cricket Academy in the Final Match

JCA Yellow emerged victorious in the final of the Shaheed Nirmal Mahato Memorial Under-12 Cricket Tournament, defeating Leo Cricket Academy by a narrow margin of one wicket to lift the prestigious trophy for the year 2024.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a nail-biting final match held at the Nirmal Mahato Stadium in Kadma, JCA Yellow displayed remarkable resilience to secure a thrilling one-wicket victory over Leo Cricket Academy, clinching the Shaheed Nirmal Mahato Memorial Under-12 Cricket Tournament title for 2024.

Leo Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat first, but their innings was restricted to a modest 112 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Hari top-scored for the team with 22 runs, while Virat Singh contributed 19 runs. Raunak Kumar was the standout bowler for JCA Yellow, claiming 4 wickets.

In response, JCA Yellow chased down the target in a tense finish, scoring 113 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 19.3 overs.

Abhinav Jha played a crucial innings of 41 runs, while Raunak Kumar supported him with a valuable 18 runs.

Hari and Ayush picked up 2 wickets each for Leo Cricket Academy, but their efforts fell short as JCA Yellow held their nerves to secure a memorable victory.

Raunak Kumar’s all-round performance of 4 wickets for 18 runs and a vital contribution with the bat earned him the well-deserved Man of the Match award.

The final match was graced by the presence of JSCA School and Club Intuition Representative D Uma Rao, former Ranji players Bhaskar Roy and Madhusudan Tantubai, JCA Administrator D Mukherjee (Nathu Sir), and JSCA Fitness Trainer Surendra Sharma.

Administrator Nathu Sir announced that the prize distribution ceremony would be held on June 25, coinciding with the birthday of Sudhir Mahato. Ichagarh MLA Savita Mahato, former JSCA Secretary Dr. Dinesh Upadhyay, and Rajiv Mahato (Kablu) are among the invited dignitaries for the occasion.

The Shaheed Nirmal Mahato Memorial Under-12 Cricket Tournament showcased the immense talent and competitive spirit of young cricketers, with JCA Yellow’s triumph serving as an inspiration for aspiring players in the region.
