Tata Steel Organizes Inter Divisional Table Tennis Tournament

GSP & One Supply Chain wins championship; General Office and West Bokaro secure top positions

Tata Steel’s Sports Department successfully organized the Inter Divisional Table Tennis Tournament from June 11 to 13 at the Table Tennis Training Centre, JRD Tata Sports Complex.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s Sports Department organized the Inter Divisional Table Tennis Tournament between June 11 to 13 at the Table Tennis Training Centre, JRD Tata Sports Complex.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Pravesh Narang, Chief GSP & One Supply Chain, Tata Steel, and Guest of Honour Hemant Gupta, Head of Tata Steel Adventure Foundation and Academies.

The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from 128 participants representing 19 units of Tata Steel.

In a display of exceptional skill and sportsmanship, the team from GSP & One Supply Chain emerged as the winners, showcasing their prowess and determination.

The General Office team secured the runner-up position, while West Bokaro was the second runner-up in the championship.

In the individual events, Dinesh Rakshit from General Office won the title, Pravesh Narang from GSP & One Supply Chain was the runner-up, and Kanishka Dutta from West Bokaro secured the second runner-up position.

Individual Event:

Winner: Dinesh Rakshit General Office.

Runner Up: Pravesh Narang from GSP & One Supply Chain.

2nd Runner: Kanishka Dutta from West Bokaro.

Renowned technical officials, including Ujjal Chatterjee, L N Mitra, Gokul Kumar, Karan Raj, and Sudhanshu Ranjan, ensured fair play and adherence to the rules throughout the championship.

Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting sports and fostering a spirit of camaraderie among its workforce was evident throughout the championship.

The event provided an excellent platform for employees to showcase their Table Tennis skills and foster a healthy competition.
