South Central Railway Announces Multiple Train Cancellations Due to Development Works

Train Services Affected from Mid-June Onwards Amidst Ongoing Railway Upgrades

Due to ongoing development works, the South Central Railway (SCR) has announced a series of train cancellations affecting various routes from mid-June 2024.

JAMSHEDPUR – The South Central Railway has issued notifications of numerous train cancellations, citing ongoing development works as the cause. These disruptions will impact several train routes starting in mid-June and continuing until further notice.

Starting from June 16, 2024, the Secunderabad-Santragachi Special (Train Number: 07234) will be cancelled. Following closely, the Santragachi-Secunderabad Special (Train Number: 07235) will not run from June 18, 2024.

Additional cancellations include the Santragachi-SMVT Bengaluru Special (Train Number: 08845) from June 21, 2024, and the SMVT Bengaluru-Santragachi Special (Train Number: 08846) from June 23, 2024.

From June 16, 2024, the Tambaram-Dhanbad Special (Train Number: 06065) will be affected, with the Dhanbad-Tambaram Special (Train Number: 06066) also cancelled from June 19, 2024.

The Coimbatore-Barauni Special (Train Number: 06059) will cease operations from June 18, 2024, followed by the Barauni-Coimbatore Special (Train Number: 06060) from June 21, 2024.

June 20, 2024, will see the cancellation of the Tambaram-Barauni Special (Train Number: 06061), and subsequently, the Barauni-Tambaram Special (Train Number: 06062) on June 22, 2024.

The Tambaram-Santragachi Special (Train Number: 06089) will be halted from June 19, 2024, while the Santragachi-Tambaram Special (Train Number: 06090) will be cancelled starting June 20, 2024.

Further cancellations include the Tambaram-Santragachi Special (Train Number: 06095) from June 20, 2024, and the Santragachi-Tambaram Special (Train Number: 06096) from June 21, 2024.

The Chennai Egmore-Santragachi Special (Train Number: 06079) will not run from June 18, 2024, and the return service, Santragachi-Chennai Egmore Special (Train Number: 06080), will be cancelled from June 19, 2024.

Services from SMVT Bengaluru are also affected, with the SMVT Bengaluru-Kharagpur Special (Train Number: 06507) cancelled from June 21, 2024, and the Kharagpur-SMVT Bengaluru Special (Train Number: 06508) from June 24, 2024.

Additionally, the SMVT Bengaluru-Malda Town Special (Train Number: 06565) will be cancelled from June 19, 2024, and the return service Malda Town-SMVT Bengaluru Special (Train Number: 06566) from June 22, 2024.

Other affected routes include the SMVT Bengaluru-Guwahati Special (Train Number: 06521) from June 18, 2024, and the Guwahati-SMVT Bengaluru Special (Train Number: 06522) from June 22, 2024.

The SMVT Bengaluru-Malda Town Special (Train Number: 06563) will not operate from June 16, 2024, and the Malda Town-SMVT Bengaluru Special (Train Number: 06564) from June 19, 2024.

Passengers planning to travel on these routes are advised to check for alternative arrangements and stay updated on any further changes.
