Mango police swiftly apprehended a theft suspect, recovering stolen items and demonstrating quick action.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a swift operation, Mango police resolved a theft case reported on June 8, leading to the arrest of the suspect within 24 hours.
Sheikh Mohammad Anwar, alias Mohammad Anwar Hussain, 26, was taken into custody with stolen items.
Anwar, residing in Ansar Nagar Demdubi, Kapali, was found with an Android Oppo phone, Rs 850 in cash, silver anklets, a silver ring, two Vivo phones, and a golden-colored ladies purse.
DSP Headquarters One, Bhola Prasad Singh of Mango, reported that the theft followed a break-in at a residence on Mango Jawahar Nagar Road No. 14.
The stolen items included jewelry, mobile phones, and cash.
Nazmun Nisha filed a complaint at the Mango police station after the incident.
A team, assisted by the Mango police station in-charge, launched an immediate investigation.
Their efforts led to the arrest of Anwar in Kapali, Seraikela Kharsawan district.
The stolen items were recovered from him.
Following interrogation, Anwar was remanded to judicial custody on Monday.
