Despite recent police accolades, criminals strike four houses in Daiguttu, stealing jewelry and mobile phones.
JAMSHEDPUR – Just after the district police officers were felicitated by businessmen and traders for solving the jewelry robbery in Sonari, fearless criminals targeted four houses in Daiguttu under Mango police station.
The incident occurred less than 24 hours after the felicitation ceremony, challenging the police’s efforts to curb crime in the city.
Thieves stole jewelry worth between two and two-and-a-half lakhs and over 15,000 rupees in cash from the house of Raju Prajapati.
Additionally, mobile phones were stolen from three other houses in the area.
The victimized families have reported the thefts to the police.
Investigations have begun to identify and apprehend the culprits.
Jamshedpur SSP had assured to curb crime in the city, but this incident has raised concerns about the effectiveness of recent measures.
"The thefts have shaken the community’s confidence in law enforcement," said a local resident.
The police are now under pressure to solve these new cases swiftly and restore public trust.
