TISCO Mazdoor Union VP Emphasizes Ongoing Care for Plantations
Tree plantation conducted at Tata Steel Growth Shop Gamharia marks World Environment Day celebration.
JAMSHEDPUR – On World Environment Day, a plantation drive was conducted at the Engineering, Development and Innovation Centre of Tata Steel Growth Shop (TGS) in Gamharia.
The event saw participation from Dinesh Upadhyay, Vice President of TISCO Mazdoor Union, along with officials from EDIC, trainees, Security Department official Dr. Omprakash Pandey, and Bharatendu from the Innovation Centre TGS.
Dinesh Upadhyay highlighted the importance of ongoing care for the planted trees.
He stressed that while trees are often cut down for various developments, planting new trees is essential to compensate for this loss.
Upadhyay urged everyone to take a pledge to plant a tree on their birthday.
The event symbolized a commitment to environmental conservation and the necessity of taking responsibility for nurturing newly planted trees.
Officials and participants echoed the importance of such initiatives in promoting green cover and combating environmental degradation.
One of the trainees mentioned, "This plantation drive is a step towards a greener future and demonstrates our commitment to the environment."
