Horticultural Society Jamshedpur and Tata Steel UISL Launch Rose Garden Project

Collaborative Effort Marks World Environment Day with New Green Initiative

A new rose garden project initiated by the Horticultural Society Jamshedpur and Tata Steel UISL celebrates World Environment Day.

JAMSHEDPUR – To mark World Environment Day, the Horticultural Society Jamshedpur, in partnership with Tata Steel UISL, launched a project to develop a rose garden.

This year’s theme, “Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience,” guided the event.

A rose planting ceremony led by Sumita Nupur, President of the Horticultural Society Jamshedpur, and Pranay Sinha, Chief of Corporate Affairs at Tata Steel, highlighted the event.

Among the attendees were Kamal Kishore, S B Mondal, Chandan Dalal, Manoj Kumar, Alok Choudhary, K Shaw, Bipin Kumar, A K Srivastava, Jayanta Ghosh, Dr. Anuradha Mahapatra (General Secretary), and B K Maity (Vice President), along with other society members.

The rose garden project received significant support from Tata Steel and Tata Steel UISL.

The Horticultural Society expressed deep gratitude for the backing from these organizations, which will contribute to creating a beautiful rose garden for Jamshedpur residents.

This initiative seeks to improve the city’s green spaces and aligns with global efforts towards sustainability and combating desertification and drought.

According to a press release from the Horticultural Society, "The contributions of Tata Steel and Tata Steel UISL demonstrate their lasting commitment to environmental care and community progress."

The Horticultural Society of Jamshedpur extends sincere thanks to these esteemed partners for their valuable support in this project.

A participant noted, "This rose garden project not only enhances our city’s beauty but also supports broader environmental sustainability goals."
