Jharkhand Government’s Initiative to Provide 21,000 Jobs in Private Sector
Mega Skill Conclave Planned, Major Companies Expected to Participate
As part of a commendable effort to address the issue of unemployment, the government of Jharkhand, under the leadership of Champai Soren, has taken a bold initiative to create job opportunities for 21,000 young individuals in the private sector.
RANCHI – The Department of Labor Planning, Training, and Skill Development is leading the effort, actively engaging in discussions with national and international companies to finalize job opportunities.
The government is taking a proactive approach to address the mismatch between the state’s skilled workforce and the employment needs of the private sector.
Exciting Mega Skill Conclave Coming Soon
In the near future, Ranchi will host a Mega Skill Conclave that aims to resemble a Skill and Employment Fair, as part of the government’s efforts.
The conclave is set to bring together well-known companies like Honda, Cummins India, Maruti Suzuki, and Coca-Cola, among others.
"The Mega Skill Conclave provides an opportunity for individuals seeking employment to demonstrate their skills and establish connections with potential employers," explained a senior official from the Department of Labor Planning, Training, and Skill Development. "This initiative has the potential to create numerous opportunities for the young people of Jharkhand."
Foundation Set for Company Collaborations
Prior to the conclave, representatives from the department have already conducted meetings with high-ranking executives, including the Vice President (India) of Coca-Cola.
These discussions have opened up opportunities for potential agreements between the government and the participating companies at the departmental level, ensuring a more efficient process for job creation and recruitment.
Appointing a Nodal Officer and Activating Vertical Teams
In order to ensure a seamless execution of the Skill Conclave, Sanjeev Besra, who serves as the Director cum Chief Executive of the Skill Development Mission, has been appointed as the nodal officer.
Besra will be responsible for coordinating with district-level teams to ensure that the initiative reaches job seekers throughout the state.
In addition, the planning and implementation of the initiative are actively carried out by vertical teams, which are led by Joint Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of the department.
There have been two important meetings held at the departmental secretary level, which demonstrate the government’s strong dedication to the cause.
Continuing Employment Fairs and Inspiring Success Stories
The Labor and Employment Department has confirmed that employment fairs will be held in different districts of Jharkhand as part of the government’s ongoing initiatives to address unemployment.
These fairs have already produced remarkable outcomes, as 45,109 unemployed youths have found employment through different avenues.
The Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society has helped over 26,000 individuals secure job placements, with the Employment Office and Industrial Training Institutes also making significant contributions to employment opportunities, providing nearly 15,000 and 3,800 jobs respectively.
"The success stories that come out of these employment fairs are a clear indication of how well our initiatives are working," commented an officer from the Labor and Employment Department. "Our dedication lies in providing greater opportunities for the young people of Jharkhand, equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive in today’s challenging job market."
The Jharkhand government is making significant progress in its efforts to create 21,000 job opportunities in the private sector.
The upcoming Mega Skill Conclave brings hope for a better future for the state’s young individuals who are currently unemployed.
With the active involvement of major companies and the government’s strong commitment, Jharkhand is on track to experience a substantial increase in job opportunities. This will lay the foundation for sustained economic growth and development in the region.
