Officials Inspecting Engine After Incident; Train Sent to Puri with New Engine

Two passengers injured in the Neelachal Express accident near Suisa have been admitted to a hospital.

JAMSHEDPUR – Two individuals who were injured in the Neelachal Express accident near Suisa have been taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

Under the watchful eye of Senior DEE Vinod Kumar, the engine of the Anand Vihar-Puri Neelachal Express was sealed upon its arrival at Tatanagar, following the incident at Suisa.

Abhishek Singhal, the area manager of Tatanagar, along with M.L Rao, the station director, OP Sharma, the station superintendent, and RPF officials, were all present during the sealing.

The engine was disconnected from the train and relocated to line number 13 in the yard for inspection by officials from different departments.

The Neelachal Express carried on its journey to Puri from Tatanagar with a distinct engine.

The South East Railway Zone has issued orders for an investigation into the breakage near Suisa station.

It is thought that the OHE broke down because of an issue with the engine, resulting in the loco pilot being questioned at Tatanagar.

A team from the South East Zone plans to visit Tatanagar to examine the engine and determine the cause of the OHE breakage.

The Chief Safety Commissioner of the South East Zone will also be conducting an inspection of the engine and facilities at Tatanagar.

Two people were hurt in the accident and are currently receiving medical treatment in Muri. Unfortunately, one of them is in critical condition.

At approximately 8 am on Saturday, there was an incident involving the OHE wire of Neelachal Express. The wire broke and fell near Tiruldih on the Muri-Chandil railway line.

Railway officials have refuted reports of a passenger fatality in the accident, despite accounts from eyewitnesses.

Both injured passengers received initial treatment in Jhalda and were later transferred to Singpur Nursing Home in Muri.

Rahul Kumar and Ram Shankar, both from Raebareli, were injured while traveling to Jamshedpur.

According to eyewitness Kapildev Karaundi, the accident happened when something hit the train, resulting in injuries to the passengers.

After the incident, the train came to a halt, and all the passengers were asked to get off.

Dr. J. Kachhap, the Railway ACMO, expressed concern over Rahul Kumar’s critical condition and emphasized the need for his immediate transfer to Muri for further treatment.

Officials from the Suiza RPF have recently visited the hospital for an examination.

According to Dr. Ram Naresh Prasad from the private hospital in Muri, Rahul Kumar is still in critical condition, while Ram Shankar’s condition is stable.

The Senior DCM of Chakradharpur division has stated that an investigation is currently being conducted to ascertain the cause of the wire falling, whether it was due to ongoing development work or negligence.

Fortunately, all the remaining passengers are confirmed to be safe after the incident.
