PM Modi to Unveil Rail Projects Worth Rs 85,000 Crore

Massive Railway Development Initiatives Announced, Set to Transform Connectivity and Infrastructure

In a landmark move set to redefine India’s railway landscape, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation for railway projects exceeding Rs 85,000 crore, marking a significant leap in enhancing the nation’s connectivity and infrastructure.

JAMSHEDPUR – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to herald a new era in Indian railways by inaugurating key projects and laying the foundation for future development.

The Prime Minister’s schedule includes the inauguration of new railway lines, with a 75% increase in tracks laid over the past nine years compared to the previous decade.

SER’s focus extends to boosting terminal capacity, introducing goods-shed facilities at strategic locations such as Nekurseni and Haludpukur.

To champion local products and support marginalized vendors, SER is embracing the "One Station One Product" scheme, aligning with the "Vocal for Local" initiative.

The introduction of Rail Coach Restaurants at Rourkela and Tatanagar stations promises a novel dining experience while generating non-fare revenue and employment.

"SER is not just about enhancing connectivity; it’s a comprehensive approach to promote wellness, support local economies, and improve passenger experience," stated Anil Kumar Mishra.

The launch of new Vande Bharat trains, including the Ranchi-Varanasi Express, signifies a stride towards modernizing passenger services with enhanced efficiency and comfort.

The inauguration of PMBJKs at strategic railway stations underscores a commitment to affordable healthcare, embodying the synergy between wellness initiatives and infrastructure development.

Expanding Access to Affordable Medicines

The inauguration of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras at railway stations is a pivotal step towards making quality medicines accessible at affordable prices, mirroring the government’s dedication to public health and employment.

"Aiding in the government’s vision, PMBJKs at railway stations like Sini and Kharagpur will ensure that quality healthcare is just a step away for millions of travelers," remarked a healthcare professional.

Empowering Local Economies Through Railways

The "One Station One Product" initiative by SER is set to revolutionize local economies by providing platforms for local artisans and producers to showcase and sell their products, bolstering the "Vocal for Local" movement.

An entrepreneur involved in the scheme commented, "This initiative not only promotes our local products but also integrates the spirit of entrepreneurship with the vast network of Indian railways, creating a win-win for all."
