Police Intercept Youth Planning Revenge Attack; Seize Country-Made Pistol

Ulidih police in Mango arrested a young man with an illegal firearm near the Swarnarekha river, close to the Ramnagar Sun Temple.

JAMSHEDPUR – A youth was apprehended by Ulidih police in Mango near the Swarnarekha river, close to the Ramnagar Sun Temple, with an illegal weapon.

The individual was identified as Anees Kumar Mandal, a resident of Baliguma in the MGM police station area.

He was found in possession of a country-made pistol and a live bullet.

City Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat announced the arrest on Wednesday.

Lunayat stated that the police acted on confidential information, leading to Anees’s capture.

Anees had been involved in a dispute with a Ram Nagar resident on May 2.

Following the altercation, he obtained the weapon from an associate to seek revenge.

However, the police intervened before any violence could occur.

The police have confiscated the weapon and initiated an investigation.

Further actions are being taken to ensure such incidents are prevented in the future.
