Fire in Jamshedpur’s Masjid Road Destroys Property; No Casualties Reported
A fire broke out in a house on Masjid Road in the Golmuri police station area of Jamshedpur around 11 am on Monday, causing extensive damage to the property but resulting in no casualties.
JAMSHEDPUR – A fire erupted in a house on Masjid Road under the Golmuri police station area at around 11 am on Monday, leading to panic among local residents.
The blaze destroyed clothes, furniture, and other items in the house, leaving them burnt to ashes.
Upon receiving the information, police and fire brigade teams arrived at the scene and managed to bring the fire under control.
The house, owned by Nathu Aggarwal, caught fire while his family was present.
Aggarwal explained that the fire started with a loud noise, initially leading the family to believe it was caused by a cylinder explosion.
However, upon inspection, they found the cylinder intact in the kitchen.
By the time they realized the true cause, the fire had already spread extensively.
The family quickly evacuated the house to save their lives.
With the cooperation of local residents, the fire department and police were alerted.
Two fire brigades, one from the Jharkhand Fire Department and another from Tata Motors, responded to the emergency.
Firefighters used a ladder to reach the upper floors of the house and, after about an hour of effort, successfully controlled the blaze.
Although no one was injured, the fire caused significant property damage.
Aggarwal stated that the fire was triggered by a short circuit, resulting in losses worth lakhs of rupees.
The incident underscores the importance of electrical safety and prompt emergency response.
