The three-day Chhau dance festival in Gopinathpur village, Chakradharpur block, concluded with a vibrant celebration attended by MLA Sukhram Oraon and MLA representative Peerun Hembram.
CHAKRADHARPUR – The Chhau dance festival held in Gopinathpur village of Chakradharpur block concluded with a grand closing ceremony.
MLA Sukhram Oraon attended the event as the chief guest, while MLA representative Peerun Hembram was present as a special guest.
The dignitaries, including MLA Sukhram Oraon, Peerun Hembram, Mukhiya Selay Munda, and JMM youth leader Amar Singh Bodra, received a warm welcome from the villagers upon their arrival.
The Chhau dance performances were held in Upper Tola and Lower Tola, attracting a large audience.
The organizing committee, comprising Sanjay Mahato, Sanjay Mishra, Dheeraj Mahato, Lal Mohan Mahato, Banbihari Lohar, Dilip Mahato, Jitu Bhim Sen, Rajkumar Siken, Rajesh, Rakesh Hero, Dheeraj, and Udham, played a pivotal role in the event’s success.
During the ceremony, MLA Sukhram Oraon assured the Chhau artists and the organizing committee of his full support.
