A mother and son were attacked and robbed by miscreants on Slag Road in Jamshedpur, resulting in injuries and the theft of Rs 900.
JAMSHEDPUR – On Thursday night, Suraj Das and Chandrika Das, residents of Bhuiandih Kalyan Nagar in the Sitaramdera police station area, were robbed while returning home from work on Slag Road.
The miscreants snatched Rs 900 from the duo, who are mother and son.
Suraj Das was attacked with a blade when he resisted, resulting in a cut finger.
During the robbery, Chandrika Das raised an alarm, but no one came to their aid, allowing the attackers to escape.
The injured were taken to MGM Hospital for treatment.
Chandrika Das, who works at an Activa service center near Slag Road, recounted that they were heading home to Bhuiandih when the incident occurred.
A person approached from behind, snatched Rs 900 from their packet, and fled the scene.
The local police have been informed of the incident and are currently investigating.
The attack has left the victims traumatized and the community concerned about safety in the area.
Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the culprits.
