Two Brothers Attacked with hatchet in Jamshedpur Over Unpaid Wages
Abdul Rahim and Arman Seriously Injured in Assault by Employer and Associates
Abdul Rahim and his brother Arman, residents of Hillview Colony in the Jugsalai police station area of Jamshedpur, were attacked with a hatchet by his employer and associates, resulting in serious injuries.
JAMSHEDPUR – On Thursday night, Abdul Rahim and his brother Arman were brutally attacked with a hatchet by his employer and several others in Hillview Colony under Jugsalai police station.
Abdul Rahim, a truck driver for his employer, sustained serious injuries, while his brother Arman suffered a hand injury during the assault.
The incident occurred when Abdul Rahim demanded his overdue wages of Rs 50,000 from his employer, who had been delaying payment for two months.
The employer, accompanied by 4 to 5 associates, allegedly responded to the demand with violence, attacking Abdul Rahim with a hatchet.
When Arman tried to intervene and protect his brother, he was also assaulted.
Following the attack, the assailants fled the scene, issuing threats as they left.
The seriously injured Abdul Rahim was rushed to MGM Hospital for treatment, and the police have launched an investigation into the matter.
The police are investigating all angles of this case of employer-employee dispute escalating into violence.
