RANCHI – A tragic incident has been reported from Bhagwan Birsa Bhagwan Biological Park in Ormanjhi, Ranchi, where a tigress accidentally suffocated her four newborn cubs.

The incident occurred on the night of May 10 when a tigress named Gauri gave birth to the cubs.

According to Park Director Jabar Singh, the cubs died due to suffocation caused by the weight of the tigress.

The newborn cubs were crushed when the tigress turned her head, leading to their immediate death.

The cubs died on the day they were born, and their bodies were sent to the crematorium for post-mortem.

The post-mortem was conducted on May 11, followed by their last rites.

Park authorities have disclosed that the incident was accidental and resulted from the tigress’s movement.

This incident has brought a wave of sadness to the park staff and visitors.
