Police investigate attack stemming from old dispute, victims admitted to MGM Hospital
An altercation arising from an old dispute among youths escalated near KD Flat in the Kadma police station area of Jamshedpur on Friday morning, leaving two Kadma residents, Devashish Singh and Ajay Chhatar, injured and requiring medical attention at MGM Hospital.
JAMSHEDPUR – Two Kadma residents, Devashish Singh and Ajay Chhatar, were injured in an altercation that unfolded near KD Flat in the Kadma police station area of Jamshedpur on Friday morning, stemming from an old dispute among youths.
The injured individuals were swiftly admitted to MGM Hospital for medical treatment following the incident, which has prompted an investigation by the authorities.
Devashish, one of the injured parties, revealed that he had a prior dispute with a young man named Abhishek on the occasion of Ram Navami, which had been resolved through reconciliation.
However, on Friday, Abhishek, along with four associates identified as Pawan, Rohit, Amit, and Bobby, allegedly attacked Devashish and Ajay using a hockey stick and a brick.
The victims have lodged a complaint at the police station, urging the authorities to take action against the assailants and ensure justice is served.
The police have initiated an investigation into the matter to ascertain the sequence of events and gather evidence to support the victims’ claims.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of residents in the area, with many calling for stricter measures to prevent such altercations from occurring in the future.
