Jharkhand Grapples with Intense Heat Wave, Temperature Slightly Drops
Heat Wave Persists Across Jharkhand, Minor Temperature Relief Recorded
Several districts of Jharkhand, including the Kolhan region, are currently experiencing a severe heat wave, marked by high temperatures and distressing heat conditions.
RANCHI – In recent days, Jharkhand has been battling a significant heat wave, affecting multiple districts and bringing discomfort to the residents.
In response to the escalating temperatures, a yellow heat alert has been issued for the coming Saturday, specifically targeting the Kolhan and Palamu divisions.
This advisory extends to several districts including East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan, Godda, and Pakur, which are facing similar climatic challenges.
Over the past days, the region experienced a slight decline in temperature by two to four degrees, providing minimal but notable relief.
On Friday, the highest temperature was recorded in Bokaro at 42.9 degrees Celsius.
Closely following were Baharagora and Seraikela with temperatures of 42.7 and 42.4 degrees Celsius respectively, and Jamshedpur and West Singhbhum each recorded 42.1 degrees Celsius.
Other districts such as Godda and Pakur reported temperatures at 41.9 degrees Celsius, while Palamu was slightly cooler at 40.2 degrees Celsius.
Ranchi, the state capital, experienced comparatively milder weather at 36.7 degrees Celsius.
