A fake recruitment scheme at Birbans Railway Station was exposed by the Vigilance Team of South Eastern Railway, leading to several arrests and the seizure of fraudulent materials.
JAMSHEDPUR – A fake recruitment scheme at Birbans Railway Station was exposed by the Vigilance Team of South Eastern Railway, leading to several arrests and the seizure of fraudulent materials.
The operation involved Vigilance Inspectors, Railway Protection Force personnel, and a Commercial Inspector.
Counterfeit appointment letters, Railway ID cards, and posting orders were issued to unsuspecting job seekers in exchange for money.
Three individuals working at the booking counter were found to have secured their jobs using these fake documents, each paying Rs. 21 lakh in total.
They, along with another person involved, were arrested and handed over to the GRPS/Sini for further legal proceedings.
An FIR has been filed, and investigations are ongoing to locate and apprehend other members of the recruitment fraud syndicate.
