Vegetable Van Overturns on NH-18, Five Injured

In a distressing incident on Dhalbhumgarh National Highway-18, a vegetable van overturned near Jairamdih, injuring five vendors.

JAMSHEDPUR – A vegetable van’s journey from Baharagora to Maubhandar ended in a mishap near Jairamdih, leaving five vendors injured.

The accident occurred due to a sudden tire burst, causing the vehicle to lose control and overturn.

Pavitra Sahu, the driver, confirmed that the tire burst was the reason behind the unfortunate event.

Originating from Mauda village in Baharagora, the injured were all local residents.

Following the accident, the vendors were initially taken to Ghatshila Sub-Divisional Hospital by the Highway Patrol.

For advanced care, they were referred to MGM Hospital but were instead taken to Baripada by their relatives.

The prompt response of the Highway Patrol ensured the immediate transfer of the injured to medical facilities.

The accident highlights the critical need for vehicle maintenance and road safety awareness.
