JAMSHEDPUR – A tractor overturned near Rain Basera Dhaba in Phuldungri, Ghatsila, on Tuesday, severely damaging the vehicle and injuring its driver.

The empty tractor was en route from Galudih to Ghatsila when it lost control at a highway cut-up.

Local residents worked to extricate the trapped driver, identified as 25-year-old Chhotu from Jagannathpur village.

The injured driver was initially taken to Ghatsila Sub-divisional Hospital for first aid.

Dr. Vikas Bhegda provided preliminary treatment before referring the patient to MGM Hospital, Jamshedpur.

This incident underscores the need for improved road safety measures on rural highways.

The accident occurred on a stretch known for its potentially dangerous cut-ups and turns.

Local authorities may need to reassess road design and signage in accident-prone areas.

The quick response of nearby villagers likely prevented more serious consequences for the driver.
