Tempo and Trailer Collide in Chilagu, Chandil; Five Victims in Critical Condition at MGM Hospital
In a tragic incident, a tempo driver and another person lost their lives, while approximately six others sustained injuries when their vehicle collided with an unidentified trailer on the Tata-Ranchi National Highway in Chilagu, under the jurisdiction of Chandil police station.
JAMSHEDPUR – Late Friday night, at around 12 o’clock, a devastating accident occurred on the Tata-Ranchi National Highway in Chilagu, Chandil, resulting in the death of a tempo driver and one other individual, while leaving nearly half a dozen people injured.
The collision involved a tempo and an unknown trailer, with all the injured currently receiving treatment at MGM Hospital.
According to reports, five of the injured are in critical condition, underscoring the severity of the accident.
Shekhar Ganguly, a local youth, promptly responded to the scene and transported all the injured to a nearby clinic.
However, upon assessing the gravity of their injuries, the decision was made to transfer them to MGM Hospital for further treatment.
The tempo was carrying a total of 14 passengers, including a child, all of whom were residents of Pardih.
They had been attending a wedding ceremony of a relative in Bhadudih, Chandil, and were on their way back when the tragic accident occurred at the Chilgu turn.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, with many expressing their condolences to the families of the deceased and praying for the swift recovery of the injured.
Local authorities have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident, and efforts are underway to identify the trailer involved in the collision.
