Scorching Temperatures Hit Record Highs Across the State
Jharkhand’s residents are enduring a severe heatwave, with April temperatures soaring beyond the usual marks.
RANCHI – The scorching sun has significantly troubled the people of Jharkhand, with the temperature in April alarmingly crossing 43 degrees Celsius.
In a startling revelation, Seraikela Kharsawan recorded the highest temperature on Saturday, reaching 43.6 degrees Celsius.
Jamshedpur wasn’t far behind, with mercury levels hitting 41.6 degrees, while West Singhbhum experienced a slightly lesser, yet oppressive, 40.5 degrees Celsius.
Amidst this heatwave, there’s a glimmer of hope for relief as the weather department forecasts rain across most districts of Jharkhand from April 7 to April 9.
A yellow alert has been issued in anticipation of the change in weather, predicting partly cloudy skies and possible rainfall in the evenings.
During this period, wind speeds are expected to range from 40 to 50 kilometers per hour, potentially offering a respite from the intense heat.
Residents are eagerly awaiting the forecasted rainfall, hoping for a significant drop in temperatures and a break from the relentless heat that has gripped the state.
