JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant development, the Adityapur police station of Seraikela-Kharsawan district recovered a substantial amount of cash, amounting to approximately Rs 22 lakh 30 thousand 820, from a Kia car near the toll bridge last night.

Police station in-charge Nitin Kumar Singh revealed that the checking was conducted near the toll bridge on the instructions of the SDPO, based on confidential information received by the SP.

During the operation, a black SUV was stopped and searched, leading to the discovery of the cash.

The recovered amount has been duly seized, and the department has been informed about the incident.

Nitin Kumar Singh stated that further action will be taken after receiving instructions from senior officials.

Currently, those from whom the money has been recovered have been asked to submit details related to the cash.

The police station in-charge emphasized that this campaign was launched in connection with the ongoing elections.

The recovery of such a large sum of money from a vehicle raises questions about its intended purpose and the possibility of it being linked to election-related activities.

The Adityapur police’s swift action in intercepting the vehicle and seizing the cash demonstrates their commitment to maintaining transparency and fairness in the electoral process.

Further developments in the case are expected as the police await instructions from senior officials and delve deeper into the details surrounding the recovered money.
