Jamshedpur’s DDC Manish Kumar advocates for extensive voter awareness programs in educational institutions to boost district voting rates.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a pivotal meeting at the Collectorate Auditorium, Jamshedpur’s Deputy Development Commissioner cum senior SVEEP officer, Manish Kumar, emphasized the vital role of voter awareness in strengthening democracy.

Kumar highlighted the importance of engaging voters of all age groups, urging educational leaders and teachers to inspire exercise of franchise among their circles.

The initiative aims to combat urban voting apathy by involving students with disabilities and achievers in cultural and sports as sweep icons, ensuring the message of voting importance reaches every household.

The Deputy Development Commissioner outlined various voter engagement activities, including Form 6 filling, election schools, voter oaths, and social media campaigns, among others, to increase participation.

At the meeting, participants pledged to vote, underscoring the campaign’s aim to change perceptions of voting day from a holiday to a day of democratic action.

Educational leaders, along with personnel from the SVEEP cell, engaged in interactive activities to spread voter awareness, highlighting the community’s collective effort to enhance democracy through increased voter turnout.
