Abhay Singh Assures Temple Committee of Resolving the Issue with Railway Officials

Senior BJP leader Abhay Singh visited the Jagannath Temple in Khas Mahal today to address the concerns raised by recent news reports suggesting that the temple might face demolition due to a notice issued by the Railways.

JAMSHEDPUR – In response to the news reports about the potential demolition of the Jagannath Temple in Khas Mahal, senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Abhay Singh visited the temple today to assess the situation and engage in discussions with the temple committee and Railway officials.

Discussions with Railway Officials

Prior to his visit, Singh had a conversation with senior Railway officials regarding the sensitive nature of the issue. He emphasized that the Railway administration should approach the matter thoughtfully, considering the religious significance of the temple and its importance to the local community.

"The area where the temple is built has been a place of worship for years, and the Rath Yatra organized here has become a center of faith for people in Baghbeda, Jugsalai, Kitadih, Harhargututu, Parsudih, Khas Mahal, Sunder Nagar, and other nearby areas," Singh stated. "It is not appropriate to give unnecessary importance to this matter."

Meeting with Temple Committee and Devotees

During his visit to the Jagannath Temple, Singh met with the temple committee members and gathered information about the current situation. He also had darshan of Lord Jagannath, worshiped at the temple, and partook in the prasad.

Singh assured the temple committee and devotees that the situation would be resolved and that the issue was not limited to just one temple but concerned the faith of all temples in Jamshedpur.

Assurance from Railway Officials

In the presence of the temple committee officials, Singh held discussions with the Area Manager of Railways and other senior officials. He urged them to handle the matter with sensitivity and avoid any actions that might worsen the situation.

"We have demanded that the Railway officials work on this issue with sensitivity and not create any kind of insensitivity that may aggravate the matter," Singh said. "They have assured us that they will visit the temple soon, assess the situation, and take an appropriate decision."
