Ghatshila College Hosts Workshop to Boost Girl Child Value
A comprehensive workshop at Ghatshila College aims to uplift and empower female students through education and awareness.
GHATSHILA – Ghatshila College conducted a 7-day workshop focused on enhancing the value of the girl child, featuring the screening of 10 educational module videos.
The workshop, spanning from February 7 to 9, utilized stories like that of Anandi’s life to inspire and educate attendees on various aspects of empowerment and activity involvement.
Principal Dr. RK Choudhary encouraged open communication among students regarding any academic or personal challenges they might face on campus.
He emphasized the importance of self-expression and self-confidence for female students, advocating for self-reliance without the need for external assistance.
The event report was presented by NSS Program Officer Prof. Archana Surin, with Prof. Indal Paswan overseeing the program’s execution.
A rally to raise awareness, led by Principal Choudhary, marked the conclusion of the workshop, underscoring the collective commitment to female empowerment.
The establishment of a Women’s Cell in the college aims to create a supportive environment for female students, offering a platform for addressing grievances related to misconduct or harassment.
Faculty members of the Women’s Cell were introduced to the students, highlighting the accessible support system within the college.
