AJSU Student Union Demands Local Examination Centers for Upcoming Exams
Tensions rise at JKS College, Mango, as AJSU Student Union members demand a revision of the examination center allocations for the UG first and second semester exams, citing significant inconvenience due to the distant location.
JAMSHEDPUR – Led by District President Kameshwar Prasad, the AJSU Student Union has warned of potential agitation if the examination center allocation for JKS College remains unchanged, highlighting a discrepancy in treatment compared to other local colleges.
Kolhan in-charge Hemant Pathak criticized the controller of examinations for the insensitivity shown towards the students’ convenience and future prospects by allocating distant examination centers.
Students are particularly aggrieved as JKS College has been allocated an examination center at XITE College in Gamharia, Seraikela-Kharsawan district, 28 kilometers away, despite the availability of nearer options.
The student protest, centering around the college principal, raises concerns over the logistical challenges posed by the current examination center allocations for the exams starting on March 30.
This dispute underscores the students’ demand for fairness and consideration in the allocation of examination centers, aiming to ensure that their academic performance is not compromised by logistical challenges.
