Dishom Baha Bonga Festival Celebrated with Fervor in Ghatsila
Traditional Rituals and Dances Mark the Occasion at Kherwal Dishom Jahergad
The Dishom Baha Bonga festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm and traditional rituals at Kherwal Dishom Jahergad in Chengjoda, Ghatsila, as thousands of devotees gathered to participate in the festivities, which included formal puja, traditional dances, and the distribution of Mahaprasad.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Dishom Baha Bonga festival was celebrated with great fervor and adherence to traditional rituals at Kherwal Dishom Jahergad in Chengjoda, Ghatsila, drawing thousands of devotees who participated in the festivities, which included formal puja, traditional dances, and the distribution of Mahaprasad.

Addressing Baha Bonga, Mrs. Murmu said that Baha Bonga is a great festival of the tribals.
On this occasion, a dozen Baha dance troupes participated in this Baha Bonga organized under the leadership of Zilla Parishad member Devyani Murmu.
Before this, the villagers took Nayake Baba from Nayake Bakhul to Jahergarh while performing traditional dance.
After that Mahaprasad was distributed among thousands of devotees.
Nayake Gopinath Murmu performed the formal puja amidst chanting of mantras.
