Sustainable Farming in Focus at Ambagan Maidan Event

The FPO/OFPO Agricultural Fair, which began on March 6 at Ambagan Maidan in Sakchi, Jamshedpur, brings together NABARD, Jharkhand, ONDC, SFAC, and local stakeholders in a collaborative effort to advance agricultural practices, promote sustainability, and bolster rural economies. The event underscores the critical role of agriculture in national development and emphasizes the need for sustainable, technology-driven solutions.

JAMSHEDPUR – An agricultural fair is being organized at Ambagan Maidan, in Sakchi beginning March 6 and is generating quite an interest among the citizens.

With considerable footfall, the FPO/OFPO Agricultural Fair promises to be a catalyst for agricultural transformation.

"This event marks a turning point in our approach to sustainable agriculture," stated Manoj Kumar Singh.

It fosters collaboration for the betterment of sustainable practices and rural economies.

Farmers received information on loan facilities, empowering them with knowledge for better financial decisions.

NABARD’s rural development programs aim to leverage Jharkhand’s natural resources.

"Digital technology is key in bridging the gap between farmers and markets," said Anvita Surin.

Her call to action underscores the importance of technological, skill, and financial support.

The fair champions the cause of sustainable farming and rural economic enhancement.

Singh highlighted the transition from food scarcity to food-exporting nation as a significant achievement.

He cited the need for addressing challenges like monsoon dependence and technological gaps.

"Adopting organic farming and promoting rural tourism are essential steps," Singh added.

The fair’s inauguration saw contributions from key figures like Singh and Surin.
