Union Minister Munda Spearheads Initiative to Boost Agriculture in Kolhan

In a groundbreaking move aimed at revitalizing the agricultural sector of Kolhan, Union Minister Arjun Munda has inaugurated a three-day dairy fair and agricultural exhibition at the Chaibasa Khunt Katti ground in West Singhbhum district. This initiative marks a significant step towards advancing agricultural practices and enhancing milk production in the region.

CHAIBASA – Minister Arjun Munda underscored the initiative’s goal to propel Kolhan’s agricultural sector to new heights, acknowledging the current disparities in progress.

The event, a first of its kind in Jharkhand, is orchestrated by the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, Haryana, aiming to pave the way for substantial advancements in the local agricultural landscape.

Insights from the NDRI revealed potential strategies to boost milk production, with Minister Munda expressing intentions to establish an institute in the area to support local farmers.

Expressing appreciation for the farmers’ significant contributions to the nation’s economy, Munda highlighted the pivotal role of the NDRI in providing crucial livestock agriculture technical knowledge.

"The establishment of an NDRI branch here will not only aid in enhancing milk production but also serve as a vital resource for our farmers," Munda stated, envisioning a future of agricultural prosperity in Kolhan.

This event signifies a major effort to bring Kolhan’s agriculture sector up to par with national advancements, focusing on sustainable and efficient practices.

"The collaboration with the National Dairy Research Institute opens new avenues for our farmers to excel in dairy and agricultural sectors," remarked a local agricultural expert, emphasizing the exhibition’s potential impact.
