Riders Rally for Dumka Case Justice in Jamshedpur

Motorcycle Clubs Demand Action After Assault on Foreign Rider

In a united stand for justice and rider safety, members of the Jodi Riders, Royal King Motorcycle Club, and riders from West Bengal convened at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Jamshedpur, presenting a memorandum to DC Ananya Mittal. This action calls for swift measures against the assailants of a foreign woman rider attacked in Dumka on March 1, emphasizing a united front from the riding community for a safer riding environment.

JAMSHEDPUR – The biking community in Jamshedpur, including prominent groups like Jodi Riders and Royal King Motorcycle Club, alongside riders from West Bengal, gathered in solidarity at the local administration’s office.

Their collective goal: to push for immediate and severe punishment for those behind the attack on a foreign female biker in Dumka earlier this month.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, bringing to light the broader issue of rider safety, particularly for women.

"We demand not just justice but also call for measures that prevent such incidents from happening in the future," stated a representative from the Royal King Motorcycle Club.

The memorandum submitted underscores the urgency of enhancing safety protocols and ensuring that riders, especially women, feel secure on the roads.

DC Ananya Mittal responded to the community’s call, affirming, “Our priority is the safety of all riders, and we will implement stringent actions to prevent such reprehensible acts. The administration is committed to ensuring justice is served promptly.”

A member from Jodi Riders made a significant request: the identities of the perpetrators should be publicly disclosed, aiming to deter future offenses by shaming those responsible. "It’s crucial that the culprits are recognized for their actions, making a clear statement that such behavior has no place in our society," Singh elaborated.

The memorandum represents a broader call to action, not just for the authorities but for society at large, to create a safer environment for riders. The involvement of multiple riding clubs from Jamshedpur and beyond signifies a collective resolve to advocate for justice and safety, stemming from the unfortunate event in Dumka.

This gathering marked a critical step toward mobilizing community support against violence and harassment, showcasing the power of unity in the face of adversity.

The riders’ actions today signal a strong community stance against injustice, demanding a safer, more inclusive road environment for all.
