Chandil: The series of road accidents is not showing any signs of stopping in Chandil sub-division area of Seraikela-Kharsawan district. A speeding trailer hit a cyclist hard on Saturday morning near Pitki railway gate of Neemdih police station area. 45 year old Kalia Gop, resident of Chingridih village, was seriously injured in the accident.
According to the information, Kalia Gop was returning to his home on bicycle after taking ration from a nearby dealer’s shop at around 11 am on Saturday morning. Meanwhile, a trailer going towards Jamshedpur hit him. The accident was so severe that both his legs were badly damaged.
At the time of the incident, the RPF jawans deployed at Pitki railway gate showed promptness and caught the trailer and its driver. Later the driver was handed over to Neemdih police station. Police are interrogating the driver and investigating the matter.
Meanwhile, seriously injured Kalia Gop has been sent to MGM Hospital for better treatment after first aid. According to doctors, his condition remains critical. After the incident, there is an atmosphere of anger and concern among the people in the area.
