Ghat Inspection for Festive Safety in Jamshedpur

Officials Ensure Safety for Ram Navami and Chaiti Chhath

Ahead of Ram Navami and Chaiti Chhath, officials inspected ghats to ensure safety and adherence to the Model Code of Conduct.

JAMSHEDPUR – In anticipation of the Ram Navami immersion procession and Chaiti Chhath, a comprehensive inspection of river ghats was conducted by district and police officials to secure arrangements for devotees and ensure compliance with the Model Code of Conduct.

Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal highlighted the deployment of substantial police forces to maintain security during the festivals, aiming to prevent any disruptions to public order.

District Magistrate Ananya Mittal underscored the necessity of all festival activities aligning with legal standards, emphasizing the ongoing Lok Sabha elections’ Model Code of Conduct.

Key focus areas during the ghat inspections included repairs, cleanliness, lighting, and the demarcation of hazardous zones to enhance safety and accessibility for participants.

The team, which included figures like Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar and City SP Mukesh Lunayat, visited significant ghats such as Domuhani Chhath Ghat in Sonari, emphasizing the importance of preparedness.

The officials’ tour covered ghats along the Swarnarekha and Kharkai rivers, checking facilities and safety measures ahead of the significant festivals.

The joint efforts by Ananya Mittal and Kishore Kaushal aim to secure a safe and orderly environment for the forthcoming religious events amidst the election period.
