Empowerment Camp Set for Jamshedpur
4000 to learn legal rights, access welfare schemes in tribal-focused event
An empowerment initiative in Jamshedpur aims to educate villagers on legal rights and connect them with key welfare schemes.
JAMSHEDPUR – Palashbani Panchayat in Jamshedpur Sadar Block is gearing up for a transformative event scheduled for 24th February, where the Legal Services cum Empowerment Camp aims to bring awareness of legal rights and government welfare schemes to the forefront for the local tribal community.
Organized under the banner of Jhalsa, with collaboration between the District Administration of East Singhbhum and the District Legal Services Authority, this initiative is targeted to benefit around 4000 individuals from primitive tribal groups.
A comprehensive site inspection was carried out by senior officials including Honorable Principal District and Sessions Judge Mr. Anil Mishra, District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ananya Mittal, and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Kishore Kaushal, to ensure that the preparations meet the requirements for a successful event.
The officials reviewed various logistical aspects such as seating arrangements for attendees, parking facilities, security measures, and the necessary barricading to facilitate a smooth and orderly camp.
In a bid to ensure effective outreach, departments spanning education, health, agriculture, fisheries, animal husbandry, welfare, social welfare, energy, drinking water and sanitation, labor, social security, forest department, supply department among others will set up stalls at the camp.
Villagers are encouraged to visit these stalls to apply and avail themselves of the benefits of various schemes, underlining the camp’s objective to bridge the gap between the government’s welfare initiatives and the community.
Highlighting the importance of civic engagement, the Honorable Principal District and Sessions Judge led the attendees in taking a voter’s oath, thereby reinforcing the significance of voting in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner and the Deputy Development Commissioner took this opportunity to urge all villagers to ensure 100% voting in the elections, stressing the importance of motivating family members to participate as well.

The visit by the district’s senior officials to the campsite underscored the meticulous planning involved, from reviewing security arrangements to ensuring that the infrastructure is in place for the expected attendees.

The camp is not only about legal and welfare scheme awareness but also emphasizes the importance of participation in the democratic process, highlighted by the voter’s oath ceremony aiming for full voter turnout in the upcoming elections.
