Industrial Units Urged to Support February 21 Voter Awareness Campaign

In an initiative to bolster electoral participation, District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ananya Mittal led a meeting with industrial representatives, emphasizing the importance of the voter awareness campaign scheduled for February 21.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a strategic move to ensure 100 percent voter turnout in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, a meeting with officials from various industrial units was convened by District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ananya Mittal.

The assembly, held in the Collectorate’s auditorium, aimed to galvanize support for the Systematic Voters‘ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program.

With Deputy Development Commissioner Mr. Manish Kumar and SDM Dhalbhum Mr. Piyush Sinha in attendance, the meeting focused on discussing and issuing guidelines for an action plan dedicated to voter awareness.

Mr. Mittal called upon all industrial units to ensure their employees’ participation in the voting process, stressing the importance of being informed about the voter helpline number 1950 and ensuring registration on the voter list.

He emphasized the necessity of filling out Form 6 for those not listed and Form 8 for corrections through BLO or the Voter App.

The establishment of election cells within every industrial unit was mandated, alongside the selection of a partner icon.

Campaign Activities and Participation

The importance of conducting a wide array of activities, such as slogan and signature campaigns, e-talks, and other significant efforts, was highlighted with a call for action plans to ensure large-scale organization.

The objective is to motivate voters through diverse initiatives, reinforcing the significance of exercising voting rights.

The Deputy Development Commissioner, Mr. Manish Kumar, underlined the critical role of industrial units in the success of the voter awareness campaign on February 21.

Detailed instructions were provided for organizing various competitions in a systematic manner on this day, including the promotion of voter awareness through creative avenues such as logo or slogan printing, selfie contests, and writing competitions for children, all aimed at amplifying voter motivation.

Systematic Approach for Voter Engagement

The meeting underscored the need for a structured approach in executing these activities to maximize voter engagement.

With the presence of DCLR Shri Gautam Kumar, District Public Relations Officer Shri Rohit Kumar, and representatives from industrial units, the collaborative effort seeks to ensure a robust turnout for the Lok Sabha elections through informed and motivated electorate participation.
