Rain to Bypass Ranchi, Ensuring Smooth India-England Test Match

A forecast of rain in East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan on February 23 contrasts with clear skies in Ranchi, ensuring the India-England test match proceeds without interruption.

RANCHI – The Meteorological Department has outlined a weather forecast indicating rain across various parts of Jharkhand, including potential showers in East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan on February 23.

However, Ranchi will experience clear weather, allowing the 4th test match between India and England, scheduled from February 23 to 27, 2024, to continue unaffected.

This news comes as a relief to cricket fans and players alike, ensuring that the test match at Ranchi will proceed without disruptions caused by weather conditions.

Following a period of cloudy skies and anticipated rain across the state, the weather is set to clear up starting February 24, with morning fog giving way to clear skies thereafter.

Weather Changes and Temperature Fluctuations

Recent weather reports from Jharkhand have noted a significant rise in temperatures, with Jamshedpur recording its second-highest maximum temperature on Monday at 32.2 degrees Celsius.

Minimum temperatures across the state are expected to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next three days, followed by a gradual decrease of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the subsequent two days.

The weather center located at Ranchi Airport has announced that the state will experience three consecutive days of rain starting from February 21, impacting several districts.

Localized Rainfall Predictions

The forecast for February 20 predicts a partly cloudy sky with dry weather conditions.

Light rain is expected in the northeastern parts of the state on February 21, affecting districts such as Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Pakur, and Sahibganj.

Further light rain is anticipated in the northern parts of Jharkhand on February 22, likely impacting Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Giridih, Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Pakur, and Sahibganj.

The Kolhan region, encompassing East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts, is slated for light rainfall on February 23.
