DC Stresses on Accelerating Development in Jamshedpur

Deputy Commissioner Calls for Enhanced Coordination for Public Welfare

Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal emphasizes the need for efficient implementation of government schemes to benefit all eligible individuals.

JAMSHEDPUR – Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, in a pivotal meeting at the Collectorate Auditorium, advocated for the stringent physical verification of applicants for the Abua housing scheme, aiming to ensure that benefits are extended only to those rightfully eligible.

Mittal, alongside a cadre of key officials, including Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar and other departmental officers, highlighted the importance of transparency and quality in the execution of development projects.

The meeting saw discussions on a range of subjects, from the implementation of welfare schemes to the enhancement of public health initiatives, notably the filariasis eradication program.

Mittal called for the active participation of residents in the ongoing health campaign, which involves the distribution of DEC and Albendazole medicines until February 25, targeting an 85 percent reach within the district.

Special instructions were issued to exclude children under two, pregnant women, and individuals with severe illnesses from the medication drive, supervised by trained health workers, Anganwadi Sevikas, and Sahiyas.

The Deputy Commissioner urged block development officers to meticulously oversee development projects, ensuring their timely completion without compromising standards.

Efforts to publicize the expanded Chief Minister State Old Age Pension Scheme, now inclusive of women and ST/SC individuals aged 50-60, were discussed, with plans for panchayat-level camps to increase accessibility.

Mittal also stressed the importance of raising awareness about the Chief Minister Livestock Development Scheme and its associated subsidies among beneficiaries.

This concerted push for accelerated development and enhanced stakeholder coordination underscores a comprehensive strategy to maximize the reach and efficacy of government welfare initiatives in Jamshedpur.
