Volunteers Sought for Suicide Prevention Efforts

Jeevan Suicide Prevention Center in Jamshedpur increases its service hours and calls for volunteers to meet the rising demand for mental health support.

JAMSHEDPUR – The ‘Jeevan’ Suicide Prevention Center, a beacon of hope since 2006, is expanding its services to provide more extensive support for individuals facing mental health challenges in Jamshedpur.

To join the volunteer team at Jeevan, interested parties should be over 21, hold at least an Intermediate qualification, and be proficient in Hindi and English, with a patient and empathetic approach to aiding those in distress.

Volunteers committing to the center are asked to provide four hours of their time weekly, playing a crucial role in the center’s mission to offer solace and support to the community.

Those interested in volunteering can apply in person at the center, signaling their readiness to be part of Jeevan’s essential service to the community.
