Chakradharpur Rail Division Triumphs with Efficiency Award
SER’s 68th Railway Week Celebrates Excellence and Dedication
Chakradharpur Railway Division and hospital recognized for outstanding performance.
JAMSHEDPUR – The South Eastern Railway’s 68th Railway Week, celebrated on 9th February 2024, was a showcase of dedication and excellence within the railway community.
A total of 89 railway officers and employees were honored for their exceptional service.
The Chakradharpur Railway Division was awarded the Overall Efficiency Shield for its comprehensive operational excellence.
The ceremony was held in Kolkata’s Kalamandir Auditorium.
Chakradharpur Railway Hospital also received the highest healthcare efficiency shield, highlighting the division’s commitment to health services.
Railway General Manager Anil Kumar Mishra presented the awards to DRM Arun Jatoh Rathod and Dr. Subrata Kumar Mishra, Chief Medical Superintendent.
The division was recognized for its performance in mechanical, engineering, health, and various other areas.
Despite the accolades, the commercial departments of Chakradharpur and Ranchi divisions did not receive individual honors, sparking discussions.
Kharagpur division was acknowledged with the shield for business and passenger marketing.
General Manager Mishra emphasized safety in train operations and the importance of customer satisfaction in his address.
Senior officials, including the Senior Deputy General Manager and Divisional Railway Managers, attended the ceremony.
A cultural program by the headquarters cultural group added vibrancy to the event.
Awards were distributed across multiple categories, with Kharagpur division receiving the Efficiency Shield for its performance.
Shields were also awarded for terminal management, track machine use, and several other categories.
This year’s Railway Week highlighted the South Eastern Railway’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence and safety.
