Tata Steel Union Election Sees Team Tunnu Secure Key Positions
In a significant development at Tata Steel, Team Tunnu has emerged victorious in the Tata Workers Union elections, with key leadership positions secured by its members, marking a notable shift in the union’s leadership dynamics.
JAMSHEDPUR – Sanjeev Chaudhary has once again been elected President unopposed in Tata Workers Union elections. Satish Singh has been elected General Secretary and Shailesh Singh has been elected Deputy President.
All of them have been elected unopposed.
Shyam Babu, a newcomer from the NS grade, has made his debut as an Assistant Secretary in the recent Tata Workers Union elections, symbolizing a fresh infusion of leadership.
Ajay Chaudhary has been re-elected as an Assistant Secretary, continuing his tenure in the union’s leadership.
Nitesh Raj has secured the Assistant Secretary position for the third consecutive term, demonstrating his enduring support among the union members.
Rajiv Chaudhary, representing SNTI (Capability), has been elected as a new Vice President, filling the vacancy left by the retired Shatrughan Rai.
In the Vice President elections, Shahnawaz Alam, Sanjay Singh, and Sanjay Tiwari have been re-elected, maintaining their leadership roles.
Amod Dubey has won the Treasurer position, overcoming opposition from Santosh Kumar Singh, Suraj Kumar, and Omprakash Bambam.
Shailesh Singh has been re-elected as Deputy President for the second time, after a previous loss and earlier tenure in the same role.
Satish Singh has been re-elected as General Secretary for the third consecutive time, defeating RC Jha.
Saroj Singh, previously an assistant secretary, has transitioned to a committee member representing the Tube Division, indicating a shift in his role within the union.
Harishankar Singh, the previous treasurer, lost his election bid within his department, resulting in his exit from the committee.
Sanjeev Chaudhary Tunnu has been elected unopposed as President, alongside a victorious slate for Team Tunnu, signaling a strong mandate from the union members.
